Why did my macaroni turn out so bad?

I don't often cook, but I decided to boil myself some macaroni today. I'm pretty sure I followed the directions correctly...But when I tasted it after it was finished, it was very chewy, sticky, gummy and just had a weird taste and texture. Can anyone please point out where I went wrong?

Any ideas on why my daughter may be doing this?

Im thinking its teething darragh my nephew had the same problem and he was a right grizzly bear at night. i would suggest getting some teething rings and i would put them in the fridge and give them to her when its nice and cool. The ABORTION debate - She hates me because of what I believe.?

I regularly get into ethical/moral debates with this girl because we both have such strong opinions. I'm a human rights and animal rights activist, while she believes that animals should have no rights whatsoever and that you should be allowed to have an abortion at ANY point in your pregnancy for ANY reason. It all got a bit heated last week. We were in cl, when we started talking about Euthanasia. She bluntly said "I like Euthanasia". I laughed and said "next you're going to say that you love abortion". She replied with "I do" and it went from there. My argument was the babies feel pain. She argued "HOW YOU KNOW THEY FEEL PAIN? They don't". I said "If I hit you right now, how do I know that you're feeling pain? I don't. However, I use the intelligence I have to realise that you are in fact feeling pain.". She also argued that "They don't remember dying" and I said "If you apply that logic to all situations then I could go up to a 3 year old, smack them over the head because F*CK IT, I don't remember anything from when I was three. I could pick up a hammer and smash it into your head right now, you'd die and wouldn't remember, but I wouldn't do that because it'd be immoral." She didn't really know what to say. She told me that she respects but completely disagree with me, then told me to say "I respect your views... Blah..." I told her that I can't respect something that advocates death. It got worse and worse and she was just repeating YOU HAVE TO RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES VIEWS. I said that I usually do, but I can't respect everything. Just like I can't respect the terrorists decision to crash into the Twin Towers. I asked her if she respected their opinion, and she said "Yes, but it doesn't mean that I agree with it". ARGH. We kept arguing. She was soon quiet because I have MANY more arguments. We used to be friends but now we don't talk. She has started talking about me to other people. Should I just deal with it because having an enemy means i've fought for something, or should I just tell her that I respect her views... When I don't. I'd respect many things but not unnecessary death for unnecessary means.

Okay, so i like this guy(: The day after i got his number we texted all day and then he found out i had a bf. then he started giving me simple answers and taking hours on end to respond. Then yesterday, I was texting him and he asked what was up and i said "eh not much. had a bad night last night bc i broke up with that i called a bf" and AS SOON as i sat my phone on my desk it vibrated and he was like "oh whys that?" I told him that he made me unhappy and then we started texting all night after that. he stopped by my work an hour later to see me and he asked how i was doing and i said i was cold so he gave me his jacket and said "Your lucky your you or you wouldnt be wearing this". He came in again today and im still wearing his jacket and he didnt even ask for it back. He gives me lots of hugs and we laugh and smile alot. does he like me?

Is it safe to drink out of cup that i found some baby maggots in from the heat if i clean out the cup?

i came home from work on a hot day to find out that i had dumped out what was left in the cup the day before, but had forgot to rinse it out well. when i went to rinse it out before putting it in the dishwater, i found stuff floating in the water that i thought was mold at first but appeared to be baby maggots. I ran lots of hot water over the cup and kept walking it outside to dump in the sewer drain....safe to drink out of still???? (my fave cup from college days)

Bending in pregnancy?

I like to read all these pregnancy books, but at the same time I don't.. I mean, there are just some things that they suggest that don't make sense. I am 5 months pregnant and I bend at the waist. They should specify "if it makes you uncomfortable", or, "don't do it because it's dangerous".. they just tell you don't this don't that. Don't worry, the only reason why not to bend at the waist is because it might make you uncomfortable as your belly gets bigger and bigger.. that's all.
