Why do the bible and quran state non-believers should be killed? Where is the peace?

i am an atheist, i don't read the bible anymore. yes i said anymore. i just "converted" to atheism about 5 months ago. the bible is hypocritical. science is not. as for allah, it is their god. to each his own
