Why don't hotel housekeepers make tips?

checkout is 12 you stay till 1. your housekeeper ends up working 50 hrs a week because of it. room rates go up but paychecks don't. they are not eligible for overtime because prez says they don't need it because they make tips...what a joke. why don't you leave a tip? they mostly make minimum wage and deal with alot of crap and puke daily. most of you have businesses that pay for your room so what would it hurt to leave a buck and maybe a little thank you note?
